Rick Helliwell has over 25 years of Executive Recruitment and Human Resources (HR) experience both in-house and consulting, working within large Corporate, SME, Start-Up, and Professional Services businesses. He is a trusted advisor to CEOs and Boards across the areas of executive recruitment and employee, team, and organizational performance.
Rick has traveled extensively and lived internationally so he understands the importance of having the right C-Suite leadership talent to build great cultures, positively inspire teams, make astute decisions and execute strategies to achieve exceptional business results.
Over his career spanning the gamut of HR and Organizational Performance, Rick has built his expertise in identifying and hiring C-suite executive-level talent for most business leadership roles across a diverse range of sectors. Rick has experience with managing the talent challenges of rapidly growing organizations, those rebuilding after periods of under-performance and employee disengagement, and in optimizing M&A business transformations by aligning the leadership integration, talent, culture, and performance management strategies and practices.
Before joining August Leadership, Rick was a Vice President and Senior Advisor within a VVIP Aviation Start-up and a Global Head of People and Performance for a world-leading designer, manufacturer, and seller of high-tech communications solutions. Prior to this, he was a Vice President holding multiple roles within a $26 billion turnover Airline Group.
Following his University Degree in Economics, Rick commenced his first career as an Officer in the Air Force, flying internationally as a Military Pilot. Rick still enjoys being active in sports and giving back through his time and service to the community.
