Art Avdeev brings over 25 years of experience managing executive search and leadership development projects for clients across EMEA and beyond. He works with corporate and private equity clients on assignments in Banking, Insurance, Consumer Finance, and Mobile Banking, as well as FMCG, Retail, Agriculture, and Durables across Western and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Art also leads C-Suite searches in mobility, media and entertainment, sports, and non-for-profit, and has built strong relationships with numerous family offices, helping them enhance governance and expand their portfolios. Before joining August Leadership, Art spent 25 years at Egon Zehnder in roles that included focusing on clients in France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and the UK, as well as overseeing the firm's regional practice in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.
Earlier in his career, he worked as an investment banker at Société Générale and as a constitutional law program expert with the Council of Europe. Art earned an MA in political science from the College of Europe in Bruges and an MBA from Clemson University in the US. Besides English and French, he speaks Russian and Italian fluently.
