Atif joined August Leadership as a CFO and brings a commercial and business-focused mindset, with professionally broad and geographically diverse experience. With his career spanning 25+ years, Atif has held CFO/Senior Finance roles in his 19 years with British American Tobacco, and, in his last role, he was the CFO of Al Muhaidib Group’s Nestle Distribution operation in Iraq.
Atif has worked across all major areas of finance. His key focus has been in developed markets including Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea and in frontier/ emerging markets of Pakistan, Sri Lanka and, most recently, Iraq.
Atif has in-depth working experience with pubic as well as private limited companies as well as SMEs. His collaborative and result-driven approach has helped him deliver turn arounds in SME as well as lead change at functional and multimarket levels in his regional roles.
Atif holds a Degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA (Finance & Operations Management). He speaks Turkish and German, in addition to native Urdu. He is married, with three young boys, a keen golfer with interest in cricket and tennis, and enjoys travelling and his work at the Rotary Club.
