Elizabeth Williams

Elizabeth's search and advisory career began in London and continued at Tessera, later part of Signium Global. She later founded EWS, an independent legal search business in Dubai with a strong focus on the Middle East. Her client base there spanned sovereign wealth funds, global FMCG businesses, conglomerates, manufacturing and healthcare companies, foundations, and not-for-profit organizations. Elizabeth's background includes senior client and business development leadership within law firms and in-house legal departments, giving her firsthand insight into the commercial and operational pressures facing law firms today.

Elizabeth is known for a rigorous, straightforward, and highly personal approach to search — one built on understanding the brief, assessing genuine fit, and developing long-term relationships with both clients and candidates. She combines sound market judgment with tenacity, discretion, and a willingness to challenge constructively when it matters. At August Leadership, Elizabeth brings her international experience to the US market, focusing on senior law firm appointments and pairing the reach of a global search platform with the relationship-led approach that has defined her career. In her spare time, Elizabeth plays the piano and races in HYROX events. She studied Law and French at the University of Sussex and the Université Libre de Bruxelles, qualifying as a solicitor in 1994 before subsequently pursuing her career beyond legal practice.
