Glenn Tannous is a leading-edge advisor with over two decades of experience in placing legal counsel within major corporations and law firms across diverse industries. His portfolio spans from VC-backed startups to Fortune 500 companies, with expertise in Biotech, Pharmaceuticals, High-tech, Financial Services, Healthcare, Hospitality, Fashion, Entertainment, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Software, and Private Equity.
Before joining August Leadership in 2024 to spearhead the platform’s legal offerings, Glenn obtained his JD from Copenhagen University and began his legal career with Anton Hjuler LLP, one of Copenhagen’s top transactional boutiques. After relocating to the US in 1996, Glenn served as Vice President of business and marketing for an Internet start-up. Glenn embarked on his recruiting career in 2001 in California by establishing the legal division of Management Resources Solutions Inc, a national recruiting firm. Over the next decade, he spearheaded the development of elite in-house legal teams for leading global technology, medical device, and life science companies and their US affiliates, placing high-level legal professionals such as general counsel, chief legal counsel, chief compliance officers, and chief IP counsel, along with various other legal and support roles.
In 2011, Glenn joined MLA (Major, Lindsey & Africa) where, for 13 years, he leveraged his extensive relationships with senior management and partners at law firms across the US to enhance the success of individual lawyers’ goals, as well as firms’ business and legal objectives, including expanding the legal offerings and sectors that they serve.
At August Leadership, Glenn applies his extensive knowledge and understanding of the legal market across multiple industries to the benefit of AL clients. He assists in mapping out the legal needs of C-suite executives, boards of directors, Human Resources, and leading legal figures across industries, fulfilling their staffing needs, and building out legal teams, from Chief Legal Officers (CLOs) to director-level opportunities. In the law firm arena, he collaborates closely with firm leaders to drive growth and strategic initiatives, facilitating group transitions and spearheading the establishment of new offices in the US, Europe, and Asia for AmLaw 100 and 200 clients. His profound understanding of legal, financial, and cultural nuances enables him to effectively navigate the complex legal landscape.
