Gavin O’Malley brings 15 years of executive search expertise, with a strong focus on industries shaped by consumer demand, including FMCG, retail, gaming, media, telecoms, financial services, energy, and education. He has partnered with leading global clients across Asia, North America, and Europe, securing catalyst talent for organizations ranging from blue-chip multinationals to private equity-backed ventures.
Before joining August Leadership, Gavin co-led a boutique executive search firm in London, where he developed a strong passion for understanding leadership dynamics and personality traits linked to high performance. He has been a Hogan-qualified assessor since 2017, further honing his ability to assess executive potential accurately.
Prior to the executive search, Gavin spent a decade in leadership roles at Unilever. His talent and organizational expertise have been shaped by his deep experience in customer-centric roles, including marketing, sales, digital trading and transformation, P&L management, strategy, supply chain, and operations leadership. Gavin is fluent in French and German and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
